Abstract

The article deals with analyze of the currently wide
used reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in Ukraine and all over the world and those that are under development and are promising. It is shown that the greatest development of reconnaissance and shock unmanned aerial vehicles of domestic production was in the first class, namely tactical battlefields while the existing need for larger classes, in particular class II (tactical and operational-tactical), is currently met by purchasing foreign samples. According to the results of the analysis, the main classification features of reconnaissance and strike UAV according to their main tactical and technical characteristics were determined. The main functional tasks and objects of action of reconnaissance and strike UAV, their role and place in the system of armaments and military equipment in accordance with the existing classes are considered. The main tendencies of development of shock UAV of separate classes are resulted, namely class 3 (operational and strategic) that have gained the most experience of actual application in military conflicts of various scales. It has been established that according to certain specific features, reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles do not fully fall under the classification adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The introduction of an additional class (subclass), namely high-speed average duration, given its prospects and relevance, for reconnaissance strike systems in the generally accepted classification in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is proposed.
