Strategic idea of the Ukrainian armaments ecosystem

Abstract

The article shows the trend towards the formation of defence industry ecosystems in the national defence and security sector of developed countries. It is noted that in Ukraine, mainly the start-up ecosystem is being actively developed, which, along with its advantages, has significant disadvantages, namely: unfortunately, start-ups cannot always compete with existing Ukrainian companies in terms of resources. At the same time, the gradual deployment of a full-scale weapons ecosystem in Ukraine should strengthen the country's defence capability, reduce external dependence, stimulate technological progress and promote the development of a self-sufficient defence industry. The article presents the requirements for the strategic idea of the weapons ecosystem, its vision, mission, conceptual role of the architect, aspects of its strategic planning and possible implementation strategies.

In the authors' opinion, in a general methodological sense, these are the requirements that the architecture of Ukraine's weapons system should meet. The authors plan to detail the components of the future weapons ecosystem (the main elements of the weapons system, the key roles and values they create, etc).
