Abstract

The results of experimental studies of the effect of thin steel barriers on the nutation angles of small arms bullets are presented. The dependences of the precession and nutation angles on the distance after the obstacles of various thickness are obtained. On the basis of the obtained results, it is proved that devices are used in the design of armored protection of combat wheeled vehicles, in which the principle of preliminary impact on bullets is realized even before the beginning of their interaction with body armor parts.
