Abstract

The analysis of known researches and methods of computer simulation of traffic and estimation of the patency of all-wheel drive cars in off-road conditions are carried out. Well-known theoretical studies are based on the empirical characteristics obtained for different types of support surface at different degrees of soil saturation by moisture - modulus of deformation. In NATO countries, similar studies and patency assessments of JSC are based on the evaluation of the bearing properties of the support surface based on the empirical determination of the so-called. Vehicle Cone Index (VCI). Given the methodological differences in the patency assessment of Soviet and Western scientific schools, attention is drawn to the need for computer-aided evaluation of this aspect. The algorithm of estimation of patency - motion modeling in the simulation simulation environment of dynamic systems Simulink of the MATLAB software complex is worked out.
