ARTICLE RETRACTION POLICY

of the Scientific Journal "Armament and Military Equipment"

1. General Provisions

1.1. This Policy establishes the procedure for the withdrawal (retraction) of articles published in the journal "Armament and Military Equipment," in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

3. Initiation and Review Procedure

3.1. The initiator submits a written application to the Editor-in-Chief with a detailed justification and evidence.

3.2. The Editor-in-Chief conducts a preliminary check within 5 working days. If the claims are substantiated, a commission of three independent experts is established.

3.3. The commission conducts a comprehensive analysis within 30 calendar days. Authors are granted the mandatory right to provide their explanations.

3.4. The commission makes one of the following decisions:

• Reject the retraction request.
• Recommend the publication of a Correction, if the error is not critical.
• Recommend a full Retraction of the article.

4. Formatting and Technical Requirements for Retraction

4.1. In the event of a retraction, the article is marked as "retracted" in all versions of the journal.

4.2. PDF Marking: A "RETRACTED" watermark is applied to every page of the original PDF file. The article remains on the website to preserve the scientific record but is accompanied by an active link to the Retraction Notice.

4.3. DOI: The original article's DOI identifier is preserved but redirects the user to the Retraction Notice.

4.4. The Retraction Notice includes:

• A clear title indicating the status.
• Full bibliographic data of the article.
• A detailed justification of the reasons for retraction.
• Information on who initiated the retraction and whether the authors agree with it.

5. Consequences and Rights of the Parties

5.1. Authors, scientometric databases (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.), and the authors' affiliated institutions are officially notified of the retraction.

5.2. The notice is published in the nearest printed and electronic issue of the journal in Open Access.

5.3. Appeal: Authors have the right to submit an appeal to the Editor-in-Chief within 14 days after receiving the decision. The appeal is considered by the editorial office within 14 days; the decision resulting from the appeal is final.
