Abstract

The article defines the contribution of portable (light) anti-tank weapons to the losses of armored vehicles of the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The tactical and technical characteristics, design features and cycles of preparation for combat use of anti-tank missile complexes FGM-148 "Javelin" and NLAW were analyzed. Based on the results of the analysis, conclusions were drawn regarding the conditions of combat use, to which the ATGMs in question are the most suitable.
