With long-term service of surface-to-air missile systems, a characteristic is a change in the technical state and reliability of its main samples. This affects the performance measures of their intended use. It is proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of the surface-to-air missile systems functioning taking into account their technical state and reliability using the surface-to-air missile systems coefficient of effectiveness sustainment (CES). For a correct assessing the coefficient of effectiveness sustainment it is necessary to take into account the surface-to-air missile systems initial technical state at the time it was put ready for use for its intended urpose, as well as the change in the technical state while waiting for the intended use in the on stat, and other features of the surface-toair
missile systems functioning.
For the CAS assessment, reliability models have been developed that take into account the parameters of a typical cyclogram of the intended use of the surface-to-air missile systems, and the calendar duration of its operation. The models that are being developed take into account the parameters of the surface-to-air missile systems typical cyclogram of the intended use, which includes three main stages (excluding the stage of changing the position).
Also, in the developed models, single reliability measures are used (mean time between failures, mean time to restore working capacity, probability of failure-free operation), which are considered as functions of the calendar duration of operation and total operating time.
A signifi cant effect of these factors on the surface-to-air missile systems coeffi cient of effectiveness sustainment is shown.
The developed reliability models make it possible to carry out the appropriate calculations for the group of the main surface-to-air missile systems with a known or specified technical state.
It is proposed to use the estimates of surface-to-air missile systems coeffi cient of effectiveness sustainment in normative
and technical documents, in particular in the field manual of anti-aircraft forces to evaluate the surface-to-air missile systems effectiveness, when elaborating proposals for development programs for weapons and military equipment, plans for the operation and repair of surface-to-air missile systems, etc.
