Abstract

According to the results of the analysis of the trend in the development of naval missile weapons, it is shown that in the coming decades against ship cruise missiles will remain the main combat force of coastal units and naval ships. However, the fleets of the world’s leading countries are gradually losing their «monopoly», so the militarypolitical leadership of developed countries have to think about how to maintain an advantage in this area. Currently, development is underway against ship missiles, primarily in the direction of further increasing their range and reducing radar visibility. At the same time, the developers are trying to follow the path of maximum unifi cation of the created missile technology, so that on the basis of one sample it is possible to create modifications to solve various problems. An example of such an approach was the Russian missile system «Caliber» («CLUB»). There are two main platforms: «Caliber-NK», «Caliber-PC». These complexes have the following fire means: anti-ship missile, antisubmarine missiles, cruise missiles to hit ground targets. In the anti-ship missile complex «Caliber» is implemented one interesting technical solution: all the way the rocket passes at low altitude and callspeed, and when approaching the target accelerates sharply. promising anti-ship naval missile systems. There is a tendency to adapt the armaments of the US Navy to the tasks that are now most often facing them. And this is by no means the crushing of the fleets of technologically advanced countries. Recently, the United States has been at war with much weaker and technologically backward countries, whose fleet consists mainly of small ships (the so-called «mosquito fleet»).
The article shows that improvements against ship-based missiles are likely to be made by reducing radar visibility, improving the efficiency of rocket engines, increasing control flexibility and «intelligence», and expanding the range of missiles.
