“Drone” in fugoid flight

The article describes the features of the flight stability of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in terms of speed, substantiates the criteria and limits of a stable flight, and provides indicators of the fugoid motion of UAVs. Stability was considered in two practically important flight modes: in a cruise flight along a given route and in free movement with non-interference of the operator in control. The features of the flight in the first and second modes are shown, the reasons for the loss of stability are substantiated, recommendations are developed for taking the aircraft out of the critical situation to safe speeds.
