Abstract

Studies of the work of wooden bridge structures under the action of braking loads. During the construction of military low-water bridges and their further exploitation, experimental studies of the design of the bridge elements for the action of horizontal loads were conducted. To confirm the experimental studies, calculations were made of the structural systems of the bridge, which were reduced to the calculations of multi-contour flat frames based on the methods of structural mechanics. It was found that with the initial load action on one of the spans of the bridge, the loads are perceived only by two adjacent rows of bridge supports. When the magnitude of the horizontal displacement was 4 cm and more, the following adjacent rows of supports of the bridge construction were included in the work.
