The article presents the results of research on the development of a scientific and methodological apparatus, which allows to identify samples of structural elements based on the results of the analysis. Identification is carried out on the basis of the use of knowledge bases of the development of materials for special purpose structures. The scientific and methodological apparatus is built using the capabilities of cognitive information technology and elements of artificial intelligence. The scientific and methodological apparatus was created using the capabilities of cognitive information technology and services developed for this purpose, which include ontological-semantic and ontological-analytical groups. The specified groups of services allow the implementation of semantic-linguistic and conceptual analysis of large volumes of information, namely: natural language narratives, documents and tabular data, identification of consolidated logistic connections between them, evaluation criteria and decision-making support for the study of special-purpose constructions.
