An analysis of the peculiarities of the use of missile systems of the russian armed forces, recorded during the military operations of the aggressor against Ukraine at the end of June 2022, was carried out. All types of ground-, air-, and sea-based, short- and medium-range missiles that were used by the enemy to attack Ukraine were considered. 10 types of such missiles have been recorded. Based on the collected basic tactical and technical characteristics of the russian missiles used in the war, an analysis of their strengths and weaknesses was carried out. The method for determining the military-technical level of military equipment of the same type, developed at the Central Scientific Research Institute of Armament and Military Equipment of Armed Forces of Ukraine, was used for the quantitative comparative assessment of the russian missile systems. On the basis of this methodology, with the use of expert assessments, generalized indicators of the technical level of 10 types of russian missiles were obtained. Taking into account the enemy's missile inventory, the best and, accordingly, the most threatening for Ukraine types of missiles have been selected. These are the land-based ballistic missile «Iskander-M», modern sea-based cruise missiles «Kalibr» and air-based cruise missiles «Kh-101». They have a powerful warhead, high accuracy, as well as a long flight range and can reach almost any point in Ukraine. The second group of missile threats, especially for the civilian population, is the obsolete Soviet missiles available in the armed forces of the russian federation. This is an air-launched cruise missile of the Kh-22N type and a «Tochka-U» land-based ballistic missile. They are equipped with powerful warheads and an imprecise targeting system, which can cause civilian objects to be hit.
