The purpose of this work is to eliminate this gap in the directional properties of horn hydroacoustic antennas. The use of horn hydroacoustic antennas as part of modern location systems puts forward requirements for increasing the accuracy of quantitative determination of their radiation fields. At the same time, it should be taken into account that the interest in antennas whose dimensions are commensurate with the length of the sound waves emitted by them has increased significantly.
Analytical relations for determining the acoustic fields of horn hydroacoustic antennas were obtained by the method of coupled fields in multi-coupled regions. Cylindrical and flat elements of the horn hydroacoustic antenna design are made of acoustically soft material. The solution of the problem of sound radiation by a horn hydroacoustic antenna is reduced to the solution of an infinite system of linear algebraic equations with respect to the coefficients of the decomposition of sound fields in partial regions into Fourier series. The obtained analytical relations were used for extensive numerical experiments. Analysis of their results made it possible to establish regularities in the behavior of directional properties in the form of directivity characteristics and concentration coefficients from the opening angles of the antenna horn, the wave dimensions of the flat walls of the horn, and the wave dimensions of the cylindrical electroacoustic transducer in the mouth of the horn. The characteristics of the behavior of the directional properties of the named parameters, including the wide frequency range of horn hydroacoustic antennas, are determined.
Numerical experiments were performed based on the obtained ratios. Analysis of their results made it possible to establish the dependence of directional properties in the form of directivity characteristics and concentration coefficient on the opening angles of the horn and the wave dimensions of both the hydroacoustic antenna converter and the elements of the horn construction.
