Abstract

The article provides general provisions on the purposeful application of a joint group of military formations in the conditions of a dynamic change in the operational and tactical situation in the area of hostilities. The main factors influencing the state of the group's organizational structure are highlighted. The main attention is paid to the issues of adaptation of this structure and the process of managing its structural dynamics to the conditions of conducting hostilities.

Methodological provisions concerning structural and functional adaptation and its influence on the effectiveness of combat operations by groups are considered and provided in a systematized form. The ability to adapt quickly, structurally and functionally is considered as one of the most important characteristics of the successful conduct of operations (combat operations) by a united group in the conditions of a dynamic change in the operational and tactical situation. The composition of the main forces and means necessary to support such adaptation is given.

Emphasis is placed on the relevance of the problem of developing an applied theory of managing the structural dynamics of organizational and organizational-technical systems of defense purposes using the principle of structural-functional adaptation.
