The technique of forming a priori reference descriptions of recognizable classes (types) and conditions of radio-emitting aircraft based on the signs associated with the structure and radiation parameters of airborne radar stations (RLS) is described. It is shown that under conditions of parametric uncertainty, the division of radio-emitting aircraft into classes (types) and states, the selection of an a priori dictionary of signal attributes and the formation of a priori descriptions is advisable to be carried out on the basis of the analysis of data on the operating modes and parameters of radar radar using expert-analytical estimates of the radiation parameters and verification of the results by statistical modeling. An a priori dictionary of signal features is presented, which includes time-frequency parameters determined by the operating modes of transmitting devices and radar antenna systems. It is shown that the catalog of reference descriptions is a table, the rows of which correspond to the names of classes (types) and states of aircraft, and the columns to the names of attributes, while the reference descriptions of classes (types) and states of aircraft in the rows of this table are represented by the intervals of possible parameter values radar radiations included in the a priori dictionary. The technique is illustrated by models of a priori descriptions of several types of aircraft belonging to different classes.
