Abstract

The procedure of estimating the mean of the ballistic trajectory of the projectile frontal resistance value by methods of approximation and interpolation of the coordinates of the center of masses by cubic polynomials is performed under the conditions of the necessary conditions for the convergence of such polynomials. The coefficients of the approximating polynomial are calculated according to the parameters that determine the initial conditions of the projectile's flight, its design, and the local aerogravitational space. The coefficients of the interpolating polynomial are determined by the least squares method according to the data of external trajectory measurements. The estimation of the errors of determining the coefficient of the frontal resistance of the projectile and the estimation of the possibility of using some of the stations of external trajectory measurements for precise determination of the indicated coefficient is made.
