Abstract

The article examines the development of scientific opinion regarding the economic prerequisites for the creation of clusters, as a modern form of quasi-integration associations. An analysis of the world experience of using clusters in the conditions of a globalized economy is carried out, as one of the ways of transition to the knowledge economy. The influence of clusters on the introduction of innovations into the production process is analyzed. The issue of the possibility and expediency of implementing a cluster form of association of enterprises, scientific institutions and state authorities in the development and production of defense goods is being investigated. Cluster associations are defined as an effective, modern mechanism for increasing the quantity and quality of innovations during the development and serial production of weapons and military equipment. It is pointed out the significant experience of implementing the cluster form of organization in various sectors of the economy of the leading countries of the world, as well as the relevance of solving the issue of legislative and organizational support for the development processes of cluster associations, as a mechanism for introducing innovations into the defense industry of Ukraine. The effectiveness of the creation of exogenous international clusters is proven, which would integrate the capabilities of Ukrainian science and production with modern foreign technologies to solve the task of providing the defense-industrial complex of the state with modern materials and elemental base.
